Amman, September 2009 – On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, and as part of its commitment to programs that are designed to make a positive impact, Munya Specialized Resorts – one of the tourism development subsidiaries under Jordan Dubai Properties (JD Properties) – announced the renewal of its cooperation with Tkiyet Um Ali through the signing of an agreement whereby Munya will be providing support to the "Akrem Wa Ate`m" campaign that is conducted by Tkiyet Um Ali during the month of Ramadan. Through this agreement Munya will be sponsoring portable tents for people who are fasting in Dibbeen and Jerash in addition to distributing food packages throughout the holy month.

Commenting on this occasion Mr. Nidal Khawaja, Munya's General Manager, said: "We believe that it is our duty as a local company to partner with the local community through various programs and initiatives. We place a special focus on the people of Dibbeen, an area in which we operate in. We also believe that the holy month of Ramadan is the greatest time to underscore the importance of equal opportunities, equality and social justice, and in order to achieve these goals we have partnered for the second consecutive year with Tkiyet Um Ali, an organization that the Jordanian society feels is making a real contribution through its humanitarian efforts across the Kingdom."

In turn, Mr. Laith Al-Kasem, Tkiyet Um Ali Board Member said: "We are proud to be renewing our partnership with a company that translates its social responsibility through charitable support to combat hunger, because we believe that this joint support will ensure food security to families that are finding it difficult to secure their daily intake. He also added: "The idea behind the portable food tents is a new project launched by Tkiyet Um Ali for the first time this Ramadan, in order to secure Iftar meals to families in remote villages who are not able to access other tents, and we are able to bring the entire family together for Iftar on one table

It is worth mentioning here that Munya Specialized Resorts focuses on socially responsible programs throughout the year; this focus includes the singing of a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) with the Jordan River Foundation (JRF) in the amount of JD 1.5 million to implement a local development program in the areas of Jerash and Dibbeen in order to make a positive change in the areas of social welfare, environmental preservation and social empowerment.
