Amman, August 2010 – On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Jordan Dubai Capital (JD Capital) announced that it has started the distribution of food packages to over 500 Jordanian families in cooperation with the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM).
 
Commenting on this initiative, Mr. Ismail Tahboub, CEO of JD Capital, said: “It is our duty to have a positive impact on Jordanian society. I hope that this initiative reflects our interests in strengthening the principles of social unity and cohesion, especially in the face of the difficult economic circumstances the world is facing. I would like to highlight the steps that are being taken by GAM towards enhancing the concepts of voluntarism and responsibility in local institutions as this plays an important role towards benefiting and positively impacting Jordanian society as a whole.”
 
In turn, Eng. Omar Maani, Mayor of Amman, commended the initiative taken by JD Capital through distributing food packages to those in need during this holy month confirming that these types of initiatives reflect the social responsibility that JD Capital carries towards the Jordanian society, reiterating that their social and humanitarian imprints are clear on many occasions, especially during the month of Ramadan.
 
JD Capital’s support to this initiative is a continuation of its different social undertakings. Last year, JD Capital sponsored the ’Kulluna Ahl’ Initiative that was launched by GAM in Ramadan in support of poverty-stricken families facing the burdens of increased living expenses.
